| On Friday evening, the LVLL 7-Select team won an amazing 9-inning game, 9-8, against Long Beach to win the District 38 banner. LVLL was down, 8-5, in the bottom of the third extra inning before a triple tied it and a grounder won it.

| The 7-Select Players came alive against Greater Bellflower and hit the ball as all of us coaches knew they could, winning 17-5. The defense was stellar as Greater Bellflower could only muster 5 runs in the last two innings. West Long Beach pulled out of the Tournament so unless Greater Bellflower can beat Long Beach, our season is finally over. If anything it feels good to finish on a high note and end the season with a great win.

| The 7-Select team lost to Long Beach 11-0 in a very frustrating game for both the players, coaches, and fans. Long Beach hit the ball very and found every hole in our defense, while Village hit the ball right at everyone of their players. It was just one of those games in which we could not buy a break...but that's baseball sometimes. |
