2010 Sponsorship Program It is that time of year again! This year, Lakewood Village Little League embarks on its 56th year of providing the youth of our area the opportunity to learn, perfect, and show off their baseball skills.

However, we are yet again experiencing another tough economical year and for many families, baseball may not be in their budget. LVLL has made a conscious effort to try and ease the financial burden and allow the opportunity to play baseball a reality for our youth. On several occasions this year we, as a league, have granted scholarships for returning players whose families have been hit the hardest by these economic woes.

We only increased our enrollment fee by $10 per child due to the City of Long Beach’s decision to mandatorily tax the league a “Park Usage” fee of $10 per child enrolled to play baseball. We made it a pass through fee until the City reconsiders their decision and eliminates this tax. This is where a local business like yours can help.

Your support allows us to continue to provide a quality recreational opportunity for over 350 players in our community. LVLL is a non-profit organization run strictly by volunteers and we depend on sponsorships, donations, and concession revenues to operate. The goal of the sponsorship program is to achieve an increased amount of sponsorships and donations for the purpose of improving the league, its facilities, and provide a continuous opportunity to learn and enjoy baseball.

There are several ways that a business or individual can provide support to our program. The four levels of sponsorship are listed on the next page. In addition to financial sponsorships, we also welcome donations of merchandise or gift certificates which can be used for raffles and other fundraising events throughout the year.

You may also want to donate your professional services to the league. We have several projects we have been discussing to improve our facilities such as enlarging and improving our concession stand. We also welcome assistance for our yearly needs of custodial cleaning, fence repairing, grounds improvement and maintenance, and building maintenance.
